The Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdel Aati received a phone call, Friday, from Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, where they discussed developments in Gaza and the latest developments in the Syrian scene.
The two ministers appreciated the sincere and intensive efforts made by the two countries over the past 15 months and the full coordination between the them, which culminated in reaching a ceasefire agreement and exchanging hostages and prisoners; in a way that stops the bloodshed of the Palestinian people; contributes to the access of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and releases hostages and prisoners, in cooperation with the United States.
The two ministers stressed the importance of the parties to implement the agreement without delay, and they also discussed the start of the work of the central follow-up mechanism in Cairo to follow up on the implementation of the agreement.
