Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly began a wide-ranging inspection tour today to follow up on the progress of several projects aimed at reviving historic districts in Cairo.

Accompanying the Prime Minister were Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development; Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities; Dr. Ibrahim Saber Khalil, Governor of Cairo; Eng. Mohamed Abu Saada, Head of the National Organization for Urban Harmony; Gen. Mahmoud Nassar, Head of the Central Agency for Reconstruction; Eng. Ahmed El-Assar, Chairman of Arab Contractors; and Mr. Ahmed Rizk, Country Director of UN-Habitat in Egypt, along with officials from the ministries, the governorate, and other concerned entities.

The Prime Minister emphasized that today’s tour reflects the government’s commitment to maintaining close, on-the-ground follow-up of projects designed to restore and revive Cairo’s historic neighborhoods. He stressed that the initiative is part of the state’s broader strategy, directed by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to preserve the architectural and cultural identity of the capital, enhance the surrounding residential areas, and align with nationwide development efforts.
