Egyptian Pound Falls Against US Dollar in Major Banks

The exchange rate of the US dollar rose against the Egyptian pound in 8 banks during Monday's trading.

According to the average market prices of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), the exchange rate of the pound against the US dollar dropped at the end of Monday's transactions to EGP 15.73 to buy, and EGP 15.83 to sell, compared to EGP 15.07 and EGP 15.08 at the end of trading on Sunday.

The dollar rose two piastres in the Egyptian Gulf Bank (EGB), Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait (Piraeus), the United Bank of Egypt (UB), and the Commercial International Bank (CIB). as well as the Arab African International Bank (AAIB) to record EGP 15.74 to buy and EGP 15.48 to sell.

The greenback also rose 4 piastres at the Misr Iran Development Bank to record EGP 15.74 to buy, and EGP 15.48 to sell.

As for Banque Misr and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), the dollar rose two piastres to record EGP 15.72 to buy and EGP 15.82 to sell.
