The exchange rates of foreign and Arab currencies declined against the Egyptian pound at the end of trading on Tuesday in Egyptian banks.
USD/EGP
The dollar exchange rate recorded a decline between 8 and 10 piasters for buying and selling in Egyptian banks. In the two largest banks in terms of assets and transactions - the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) - the dollar exchange rate recorded EGP 47.04 to buy and EGP 47.14 to sell, and in the Banque Misr it recorded 47.05 to buy and 47.15 to sell.
At the central bank of Egypt, rates even declined further to record 47.01 to buy and 47.14 to sell.
EUR/EGP
The exchange rates of the European currency “the euro” fell between 18 and 22 piasters for buying and selling in Egyptian banks. In the NBE, the price of the euro recorded EGP 50.96 to buy and EGP 51.26 to sell, and in the Banque Misr it recorded EGP 50.97 to buy and EGP 51.28 to sell.
Sterling
The exchange rate of the pound sterling declined between 35 and 18 piasters for purchase and sale in Egyptian banks. In the NBE, the sterling declined to record EGP 59.59 to buy and EGP 60.01 to sell, and in the Banque Misr, the sterling recorded a decline to record EGP 59.60 to buy and EGP 60.02 to sell.
Arab Currencies
In the Arab world, the Saudi riyal recorded at the NBE about EGP 12.53 to buy and EGP 12.56 to sell.
The Emirati dirham recorded EGP 12.81 to buy, and EGP 12.83 to sell, and the Kuwaiti dinar recorded EGP 152.40 pounds to buy and EGP 153.42 to sell
