In a segment aired on CBC's "World in Alamein," Egypt’s Paralympians expressed their delight with the activities and the Ministry's support during their participation in the New Alamein City Festival.

Mohamed Abdallah Al-Hanawi, a player from Egypt’s Paralympic volleyball team, praised the city: "New Alamein is world-class. We travel abroad frequently and see skyscrapers, but this is the first time we’ve seen better ones here in Alamein. It's also the first time we're being promoted before heading to the Olympics."

Hossam Massoud, another volleyball player, added, "This is the first time we've had a spotlight on us before going to the Olympics. We've received respectful support, especially in New Alamein, and we hope this backing helps us succeed in Paris."

Weightlifting champion Mohamed Sobhi shared his excitement: "This time feels different due to the immense support we’ve received. The facilities in Alamein are fantastic and truly showcase Egypt's best."

The Alamein Festival is part of the United Media Services Company's strategy to launch national initiatives that highlight urban development in the northwestern coast, particularly New Alamein City. The festival aims to promote tourism with its beautiful beaches and mild climate, and to attract investment opportunities in the region. It also underscores the role of soft power in supporting the state's development efforts and enhancing various tourist destinations.

The second edition of the New Alamein Festival features a diverse agenda of artistic, cultural, sports, and entertainment events catering to various visitor interests and attracting tourists from different nationalities. The festival includes over 20 varied activities, such as theatrical performances produced by renowned producers and starring prominent and young actors, matches featuring football, basketball, volleyball, and padel tennis legends, the Insomnia digital games competition, and the Bites by the Sea event—a grand showcase of Egypt's best chefs aimed at promoting food tourism on the northern coast for the first time.
