Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, met with Dr. Mohammad Mustafa, Palestinian Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, on the sidelines of the extraordinary session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah.
The meeting focused on following up on the outcomes of the Extraordinary Arab Summit, particularly the "Arab Plan for Early Recovery, Reconstruction, and Development of Gaza," which was adopted by both the Arab Summit and the OIC Foreign Ministers' Council.
Abdelatty emphasized Egypt’s commitment to mobilizing international support for the plan’s implementation in the coming period.
The discussion also covered Egypt’s preparations to host an international conference on Gaza’s reconstruction, in collaboration with the Palestinian government and the United Nations.
Palestinian FM praised President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s efforts in hosting the Arab Summit in Cairo and Egypt’s continuous support for the Palestinian cause.
He expressed his anticipation for the reconstruction conference, which would help gather the necessary funding for the Arab reconstruction plan.
Additionally, he commended Egypt’s efforts in ensuring the stabilization of the ceasefire agreement and its phased implementation.
