​​​Egyptian, Omani FMs Discuss Bilateral Ties, Iranian Nuclear File

​Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates, held phone talks with his Omani counterpart Badr bin Hamad Al-Busaidi.

The phone call came as part of the periodic consultation and coordination between the two countries.

The call addressed ways to enhance the distinguished bilateral relations between Egypt and Oman.

In this regard, Abdelatty emphasized the pride in the deep brotherly ties and their continuous development at various levels, highlighting the importance of advancing cooperation in priority fields to serve the common interests of both nations.

​Moreover, both ministers exchanged views on developments in the Gaza Strip, where Abdelatty reviewed Egypt's efforts aimed at stabilizing and sustaining a ceasefire, transitioning to the next phase of the U.S. President’s plan, including supporting the political track, ensuring full access to humanitarian aid, and creating the necessary conditions for early recovery and reconstruction.

The discussion also touched upon several regional issues, with Abdelatty stressing the importance of de-escalation and supporting paths toward calm and political solutions to enhance regional security and stability.

In this regard, he underscored the necessity of de-escalation in Yemen and achieving an inclusive Yemeni-Yemeni dialogue for a comprehensive settlement of the crisis, away from unilateral measures, to ensure the security of the Yemeni people.

​Furthermore, the call addressed developments regarding the Iranian nuclear file.

In the same context, Abdelatty affirmed the importance of continued efforts to reduce tensions, build trust, and create conditions that allow a genuine opportunity for diplomatic solutions.

Moreover, he emphasized the need to resume dialogue with the aim of reaching a comprehensive agreement on the nuclear file that takes into account the interests of all parties and contributes to regional security and stability.
