Egyptian nuclear scientist Abu Bakr Abdel Moneim Ramadan, head of the National Radiation Observatory Network at the Egyptian Nuclear and Radio-logical Regulatory Authority, died in Morocco under mysterious circumstances.
It is reported that the Egyptian scientist, before his death, suffered a severe health disorder after drinking a glass of juice during his stay at a hotel in the tourist area of Agdal, Marrakesh.
The public prosecutor in the Moroccan city of Marrakech ordered today the autopsy of the body of the Egyptian nuclear scientist to know the real reasons leading to his death.
The Egyptian scientist was in Marrakech to attend an Arab conference on energy.
Medical sources said that Ramadan felt severe stomach cramps before heading to the clinic where he died. Blood samples have been sent to a medical laboratory in Casablanca to see if the death was caused by poisoning.
The sources pointed out that the police officers moved to the scene to conduct an investigation into the incident.
The Egyptian expert reportedly participated in official meetings with Arab environment ministers in 2014 and was commissioned, along with other experts, in 2015 to study the potential effects of the Bushehr nuclear reactors in Iran and Dimona in Israel.
This is not the first time to see an Egyptian scientist dying under circumstances. It is worthy to note that Dr. Yahya El Mashad, an Egyptian nuclear scientist, who headed the Iraqi nuclear program was killed in a Paris hotel room in June 1980, in an operation generally attributed to the Mossad.
Ramadan is not the first Egyptian Nuclear scientist nor last to be assassinated in strange circumstances that indicate the involvement of the Israeli Mossad. The list is too long.
