CAIRO, Sept 9 (SEE) - Vice Adm. Lisa Franchetti, the commander of US 6th Fleet, said on Sunday the Egyptian Navy is an important partner of the US Navy in the Red Sea and the Mediterranean.
Following a visit to Commander in Chief of the Navy Vice Admiral Ahmed Khaled Hassan Saeed here, Franchetti said the two navies can guarantee regional security and stability and reflect strong and sustainable partnership through team work to enhance strong relations between the two naval forces.
The visit took place ahead of participation in the USS Carney (DDG 64) Bright Star 2018 drills which aim at promoting regional security and stability.
