A number of members of the Egyptian community in Brussels gathered in front of the residence of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, chanting slogans: "Sisi, Sisi, you are my president," as the President was heading to the European Parliament headquarters to participate in the first Egyptian-European Summit.
Following this, President Sisi met with the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, at the European Parliament headquarters in Brussels, on the sidelines of the first Egyptian-European Summit.
During the meeting, Sisi signed the European Parliament's Book of Honour, a gesture that reflects the European institution's appreciation for Egypt's status and its regional and international role.
They also discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Egypt and the European Union in various political, economic, and developmental fields.
