Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates, received Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates of the Kingdom of Morocco, on Monday.
This meeting was held within the framework of periodic consultation and coordination between the two brotherly nations and in preparation for the inaugural session of the Egyptian-Moroccan Coordination and Follow-up Committee.
During the meeting, the two ministers reaffirmed the depth of the fraternal relations between Egypt and Morocco and praised the significant development witnessed in various political, economic, and trade fields.
They emphasized a shared commitment to continue enhancing partnership tracks in diverse sectors to achieve the mutual interests of both countries.
The meeting also addressed ongoing preparations for the first session of the Coordination and Follow-up Committee at the Prime Ministerial level, which aims to propel joint cooperation toward broader horizons that fulfill the aspirations of both nations.
The encounter included an exchange of views on several regional issues of common interest, including the developments of military escalation and the dangerous turning point the region is currently facing.
Abdelatty reviewed Egypt's efforts, in collaboration with regional and international partners, to reduce escalation and tension while attempting to spare the region from an expanded conflict and further instability.
Furthermore, the ministers discussed the latest updates regarding the Palestinian cause and regional developments in Sudan and Libya.
They stressed the importance of maintaining coordination and consultation to contribute to supporting regional security and stability, while strengthening joint Arab and African action to address current challenges and achieve shared objectives.
