An Egyptian military delegation, led by General Osama Askar, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, has arrived in Libya today to extend support and assistance to the Libyan people in the face of ongoing crises.
This visit comes as part of Egypt's commitment to stand in solidarity with its brotherly nation, offering logistical and urgent humanitarian aid to address the aftermath of a devastating hurricane.
The delegation aims to coordinate efforts with relevant Libyan agencies and institutions to provide much-needed support. In accordance with the identified requirements, a military airlift bridge will be established to transport essential supplies.
The initial phase of this operation involves the dispatch of three military aircraft carrying medical and food provisions. Additionally, 25 well-equipped rescue teams will be deployed to assist in rescue and relief efforts.
Another aircraft will be dedicated to conducting medical evacuations for both martyrs and the injured.
The Egyptian Armed Forces emphasize their dedication to utilize all available resources to support their Libyan counterparts during these challenging circumstances.
They extend their deepest condolences to the victims of this humanitarian disaster and express their hopes for a swift recovery among the injured.
