Foreign Minister, Badr Abdel Aty, received a phone call, on Monday, from Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The two ministers discussed the latest developments in Syria, with Minister Abdel Aty receiving updates from his Jordanian counterpart on the outcomes of Safadi's visit to Syria earlier in the day.
Both ministers reaffirmed the importance of supporting the Syrian state while respecting its sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.
They also emphasized the need for enhanced coordination among regional and international stakeholders to aid Syria and its people in rebuilding their nation and institutions through a comprehensive, Syrian-led political process. This process should involve all segments of the Syrian population and guarantee their rights.
