The foreign ministers of Egypt, Iraq, and Jordan held a tripartite meeting on Tuesday in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.

The foreign ministers of Egypt, Iraq, and Jordan held a tripartite meeting in Cairo to discuss ways to promote cooperation, coordination, and joint tripartite integration in various fields in the framework of the historical relations between the three countries.

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs mentioned in a statement that the Iraqi Foreign Minister, Fuad Hussein, the Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, and the Jordanian Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, agreed to hold a follow-up meeting on the sidelines of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly in September in New York.

The cooperation mechanism between the three countries constitutes an important platform for joint efforts aimed at strengthening the economic cooperation mechanisms between the three countries in various fields, as the statement confirmed.

The trilateral mechanism, which has been in place since 2019, enables the three countries to coordinate on various regional and international issues of mutual concern in order to preserve Arab unity and regional security and stability, the statement added.
