On Thursday, the Egyptian Intelligence Chief, Major General Abbas Kamel held a meeting with Libyan Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity (GNU) Abdel-Hamid Dbaiba in Tripoli.
The meeting dealt with ways to enhance joint relations between the two countries and cooperation in various fields.
Kamel briefed the Libyan Premier on the results of the Egyptian delegation's visit to Tripoli last May, and the coordination mechanism on activating all agreements concluded between the two brotherly countries.
The meeting pointed to Egypt's "positive role" in promoting reconciliation between the Libyan parties in a way that enhances security and stability in the region.
The two sides coordinated for the upcoming visit of Dbaiba to Egypt to activate the Libyan-Egyptian Joint Higher Committee.
The meeting was attended by the Libyan intelligence chief, Major General Hussein Al-Aib and the Minister of Interior, Khaled Mazen.
