Foreign Affairs Minister of Egypt Sameh Shoukry will pay an official visit to Cyprus on Thursday at the invitation of his counterpart, Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos.
According to a Ministry of Foreign Affairs press release, Shoukry will have a tete-a-tete meeting with his Cypriot counterpart while further consultations will follow with the participation of delegations from the two Ministries. After the consultations, the two Ministers will make statements to the press and Kombos will host a working lunch for the Egyptian delegation.
Discussions will focus on bilateral relations and the further deepening of Cyprus-Egypt cooperation, the latest developments in the Cyprus issue, as well as regional developments, mainly the situation in the Middle East, the press release adds.
During his stay in Cyprus, Shoukry will be received by the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides.
