Marwa Hamed an Egyptian fashion designer, introduced a special collection inspired by the stunning nature in Africa.
In general, Hamed’s designs mimic elements of nature in the frontier governorates like Sinai, Siwa, al-Nuba, Halayeb and Shalaten.

African Style
The African fashion lines are characterized by special designs reflecting the dark continent’s culture, thoughts and civilization.
In this context, Hamed presented a caftan with hood inspired by the Moroccan heritage beside the Senegalese Abaya with some handmade work from Siwa; a region located next to Libya.

Vivid Colors
As some African countries are characterized by stunning nature’s colors represented by mountains, forests and rivers, Hamed used the same shades in her designs.
Relative to Algeria, she used dusty colors as well as orange, black and brick ones in one design.
Moreover, she adopted blue, green and mustard tones with some needlework resemble those in "Kelim" rugs.
She also presented a tonic design inspired by the nature in the Kenya and the traditional Egyptian peasant women wear “Malass”.

Grandmothers’ Art
Along the lines of the hand embroidery practiced by Egyptian grandmothers, Hamed combined rural fabrics with roses’ drawings with old burqas and outdated coins to form unique pieces of clothes.
Some other designs are inspired by South Africa and El-Arish city.
