Egyptian Embassy in Canada organized on Tuesday in cooperation with the Canadian-Arab Business Council, a virtual seminar to promote the Egyptian economy.

During the seminar, Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, tackled the most important developments taking place in the Egyptian economy.

The minister also reviewed the economic and social policies that have been applied to counter the negative effects of the Corona pandemic, as well as the available investment opportunities in various Egyptian sectors, and ways to support economic relations between Egypt and Canada.

In press statements, Egypt Ambassador to Canada Ahmed Abu Zaid expressed happiness to hold this significant seminar during this critical time, when world countries are facing great challenges as a result of the impact of Coronavirus pandemic on the global economy and the external investments flows.

He also added that the seminar was a great chance to review the major investment opportunities offered by Egypt in the sectors of energy, oil, infrastructure, construction, telecommunications, mining, agriculture, modern technology, and others.

The Egyptian diplomat also praised the Canadian Minister of Small Business, Export promotion, and International Trade Mary Ng's keenness to take part in the symposium and establish an interactive dialogue with Al-Saeed.

The symposium was attended by more than 150 invitees from Canadian government officials, members of parliament, chairmen of major Canadian companies, and a group of Canadian and Egyptian businessmen who work in the field of investment.
