Egyptian Embassy Celebrates Centenary of Tomb of Tutankhamun Discovery

Madiha Nasr, the media Egyptian advisor in Los Angeles, organized a dinner party for representatives of the royal palace and in honor of the presence of Lord Carnarvon VIII of Wales to be the main speaker in the annual celebration of the American Research Center in Egypt.

This came within the celebrations of the centenary of the discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun in 1922.

This meeting was attended by Ahmed Shaheen, Consul General of Egypt in Los Angeles, Raafat Salib, President of the General Union of Immigrants in America, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the American Research Center in Egypt, and a number of attendees from various organizations and the Egyptian community in Orange County.

Lord Carnarvon explained the story of the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb in 1922 by his grandfather, Lord Fifth, with the discoverer, archaeologist Howard Carter. All attendees enjoyed this fruitful cultural meeting, which enriched the dialogue between all the guests.
