Egyptian fashion designer Amira Quzamel has launched a groundbreaking Ramadan 2025 collection, drawing inspiration from her grandfather, Quzamel Bey, a figure from Egypt’s royal era.
The collection blends vintage sophistication with modern practicality, offering elegant and modest attire for the holy month, which coincides with the chilly winter season this year.
Graceful Silhouettes and Regal Modesty
Kozamel’s designs emphasize flowing lines that enhance the body’s natural grace while ensuring comfort and modesty. The collection features tailored suits inspired by traditional caftans, wide-leg trousers, and bell-shaped sleeves that add a touch of Eastern refinement.
A standout trend is the incorporation of capes, a key winter fashion element, draped over the shoulders for a contemporary flair. Additionally, the designer introduces a seamless fusion between the caftan and evening gown, delivering a sophisticated yet functional ensemble.

Luxurious Velvet Dominates the Collection
Velvet, a fabric synonymous with luxury and warmth, is the star of this collection. Quzamel selects high-quality solid and textured velvets in a rich color palette that includes honey, various shades of brown, petrol blue, deep red, navy, and classic black.
These choices not only provide warmth but also evoke the grandeur of Egypt’s aristocratic past.

Exquisite Embroidery and Symbolic Details
The collection is enriched with intricate embroidery inspired by Egyptian heritage, particularly the crescent and star motifs, which symbolize the royal era.
Delicate silk-thread embroidery and hand-applied rhinestone embellishments in silver and gold adorn cuffs and sleeves, elevating each piece’s aesthetic appeal.
Understanding the needs of veiled women, Quzamel also introduces matching head coverings, featuring the same embroidered motifs, ensuring a harmonious and stylish hijab-friendly look.

The Statement Belt: A Signature Touch
A defining feature of the collection is the statement belt, which serves both as a fashionable accent and a nod to the designer’s Ramadan theme.
Available in wide and medium widths, the belts cater to different body types, from slender figures to curvier women. Each belt is inscribed with phrases like “Quzamel” and “Bint El Bey” alongside crescent and star symbols, reinforcing the historical inspiration behind the collection.
