The Egyptian Cabinet expressed its profound sorrow and grief over the passing of Dr. Mofid Shehab, former Minister of Higher Education and former Minister of Legal Affairs and Parliamentary Councils, who passed away this morning following a distinguished academic and national career dedicated to serving the nation with utmost sincerity and devotion.
Prime Minister (PM) Dr. Mostafa Madbouly extended his heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathy to the family of the deceased, praying that Almighty God grants him vast mercy and forgiveness, and inspires his family, students, and the legal and legislative community with patience and solace.
Moreover, Madbouly emphasized that the memory of the late great figure will endure as a distinguished national and legal pillar.
Furthermore, he highlighted Dr. Shehab’s monumental contributions throughout his prolific career in academia, public service, and international negotiations.
Madbouly also noted that the late minister represented a unique model of a statesman whose compass was always directed toward defending the state’s interests and safeguarding its sovereignty, sparing neither knowledge nor effort for the nation's advancement.
