CAIRO, Nov. 1 (SEE) - The car sales in Egypt increased 35.9% percent to reach up to 130,000 units in the first nine months of 2018 compared with 96,200 units in the same period of 2017, according to Automotive Marketing Information Council (AMIC).
Sales of the private cars hiked by 38%, recording 96,000 units compared with 69,500 units in the last year. On the other hand, bus sales grew by 17%, reaching 11,300 units compared with 9,700 units as well as the truck sales that marked an increase of 38%.
While, locally assembled cars recorded an increase in their sales by 18.3%, reaching 63,000 units in addition to the imported car sales that hiked by 58%.
