Mahmoud Afifi, Egypt's Ambassador to the Czech Republic met with Zdenek Zajicek, President of the Czech Chamber of Commerce, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries to increase trade volume, create new export opportunities for Egyptian products in the Czech market, and work to increase investment volume.
During the meeting, the Egyptian Ambassador presented the most important steps and measures taken by the Egyptian government to enhance the favorable investment climate and attract foreign investment, especially in light of the significant and diverse investment opportunities in many sectors supported by major national infrastructure development projects, in addition to the establishment of specialized industrial complexes in key areas of work.
Afifi also emphasized the importance of working to enhance the current increase in trade volume between the two countries, maintaining the continuity of visits by trade delegations and businessmen, holding joint trade and investment events, and promoting available investment opportunities on a regular basis.
On his part, the President of the Czech Chamber of Commerce explained that Czech companies operating in the Egyptian market are showing great interest in strengthening their activities and investments, alongside parallel interest from other companies in starting operations in this market. He also noted the opportunities available to access other markets in the Arab and African regions via the Egyptian market, leveraging Egypt's membership in several important regional free trade agreements.
