Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company Rushdi Zakaria said on Tuesday EgyptAir is planning to operate one flight per day to Doha, following the Egyptian State's decision to reopen airspace between both countries and operate flights from and to Qatar.
"An additional flight will be operated in case of increasing demands," Zakaria added.
"The flights schedule will be announced shortly after finalizing permits required by the aviation authorities in both countries."
Earlier, Egypt decided to reopen its airspace with Qatar and allow the resumption of flights between the two countries as of today, January 12, according to a statement by Civil Aviation Ministry.
The move came after Riyadh announced a breakthrough at Al-Ula summit last Tuesday to end the rift in which Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, and Egypt cut diplomatic, trade, and travel ties with Qatar in mid-2017.
