EgyptAir, the national carrier, has suspended all flights to Gulf Arab and levant cities, citing unfolding regional events and the closure of airspace in several countries.
This comes following Israel and the U.S. launching a pre-emptive attack against Iran.
The airport has grounded its flights to Kuwait, Dubai, Doha, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Qassim, Dammam, Erbil, Baghdad, Amman, Beirut, and Muscat.
"The airline’s Integrated Operations Centre is monitoring the situation around the clock and will provide further updates as they become available," the airline said in a statement.
