EgyptAir has announced that it will resume its flights to and from various airports in Jordan, Iraq, and Lebanon, after the reopening of airspace in these countries. The airline had suspended its flights to these countries due to missile strikes from Iran on Israel.
Jordan had temporarily closed its airspace to all incoming, departing, and transit aircraft, citing the situation's continuous development. Lebanon also announced the temporary closure of its airspace amidst threats of an Iranian attack on Israel, according to Lebanon's Al Jadeed TV.
Meanwhile, Iraq had closed its airspace and suspended all air traffic after neighbouring Iran launched hundreds of drones and cruise missiles at Israel in an unprecedented attack.
On Saturday night, Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched a drone and missile attack on Israel in response to an Israeli strike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus. Iran has condemned the attack as a "crime."
