EgyptAir resumed, on Monday, its direct flights between Cairo and India's Mumbai following hiatus of more than two years due to the Coronavirus.
Flight No. 968 MS, Boeing B737-800, which can carry 140 passengers, kicked off from the Cairo International Airport to Mumbai.
Moreover, the national carrier is scheduled to operate four flights per week between the two destinations. This move comes in line with the company’s objective to expand its lines, especially to Asia, after the pandemic.
On 18 April, EgyptAir began operating daily direct flights between Cairo and the Libyan city of Benghazi.
For his part, Chairman and CEO of Egyptair Airlines Company, Amr Abu El-Enien, pointed out that the national company aims to strengthen trade and economic cooperation between Egypt and Libya.
