EgyptAir started Saturday intensifying its flights to transport pilgrims from Saudi Arabia to Egypt after performing Hajj rituals.
Informed sources at Cairo airport said that the seasonal hall at the airport allocated for Hajj and Omarah flights will receive 18 flights today 12 of them come from King Abdulaziz International Airport (Jeddah airport) and 6 from Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz International Airport (Madinah airport).
In coordination with the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Ministries of Interior and Health, EgyptAir provides a passport officer and a quarantine doctor on each of its flights to assist pilgrims and finalize their procedures onboard aircraft to reduce waiting time upon arrival at the Egyptian airports to facilitate the return procedures.
It is expected that the national airline EgyptAir will operate about 200 flights to transport pilgrims returning from Madinah airport, and 224 flights from Jeddah airport, a total of 424 flights to carry more than 70 thousand pilgrims returning to Egypt this year.
It is noteworthy that the performance of the Hajj awaits millions of Muslims from around the world, so Saudi Arabia made its preparations for the success of the Hajj season this year to ensure the safety of pilgrims. The Kingdom has adopted many measures in all fields to serve Muslim visitors.
These preparations included the provision of 19,000 buses to transport nearly 2 million Muslims from the Saudi General Cars Syndicate (GCS).
According to the Kingdom’s “2020 Vision”, the General Authority of Customs and the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah are cooperating in providing a comfortable stay for visitors them from the Hajj and Umrah halls from King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah to their residences.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah supervises and follows up on all the services provided to the pilgrims, starting with receiving them, housing them, and meeting their needs in Mecca, Medina, and the holy places.
