EgyptAir Launches Three New Routes to Africa

EgyptAir, the national flag carrier announced the launch of new routes within the continent of Africa during the month of  July, including the Somali capital Mogadishu and Abidjan, the capital of Côte d'Ivoire, as well as a line to Djibouti.

It is planned to operate flights to the Ivorian capital Abidjan, starting next July 9, with three flights per week on Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays.

EgyptAir also operates flights linking Djibouti and Mogadishu starting from July 11 until the end of the summer schedule at a rate of two flights per week with a route (Cairo - Djibouti - Mogadishu - Djibouti - Cairo). ).

EgyptAir is pursuing a long-term plan to expand in Africa and reach new markets to target new customers.

By operating the new lines; the number of points the company reaches in Africa will become 26, and air and travel traffic in Africa is considered one of the most promising markets in the world.

It is planned that the company will reach 32 points by 2028 by opening new lines to Dakar, Senegal, Luanda, Angola, Cape Town, South Africa, Bamako, Mali, Harare, Zimbabwe, and Lusaka, Zambia. This is in line with the plan to develop and strengthen its air fleet with the latest international models.
