EgyptAir Launches New Route to Douala

The flag carrier airline EgyptAir has recently launched three weekly flights to the city of Douala, Cameroon, as of July 21.

This comes within the framework of the airline's strategy to expand its network to access many vital destinations in the African continent.

Head of EgyptAir Holding Company Ahmed Adel said in a statement that the company is keen to implement a plan to strengthen its presence in the African continent under the umbrella of the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

"The airline has decided to operate the flights of the new route in line with EgyptAir's network in Europe, the Middle East, and the Far East to provide a variety of travel options for customers wishing to travel to and from Douala, the economic capital of Cameroon," Adel added.

On his part, EgyptAir Chairman Ashraf el-Khouly said that the new route will operate on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays of each week, linking with Chad's Ndjamena airport (Image result for EgyptAir CameroonCairo-Ndjamena-Douala).

Customers can book their flights to Douala via the airline official website booking system and through EgyptAir offices and travel agents all over the world.

The newly operated flights come in line with the Egyptian state's interest in strengthening relations with Africa through facilitating movement within the continent.

As the official carrier of the tournament, EgyptAir and its subsidiaries provided all the necessary facilities for the teams and fans participating in the African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

It is worth mentioning that EgyptAir, a StarAlliance Member, has added flights to (Kigali, Rwanda) and (Abidjan, Ivory Coast) during the past few months.
