EgyptAir flight MS 981 from Cairo to Washington DC changed route, making an emergency landing at Malpensa Airport in Milan, after a passenger onboard experienced a sudden health crisis.
The flight crew, assisted by two physicians who were among the passengers onboard, administered emergency medical care to the patient until the plane landed safely in Milan, according to EgyptAir.
The passenger was transported safely off the plane to receive medical treatment in the Italian city before the EgyptAir flight resumed its journey to Washington DC, EgypAir said.
