EgyptAir denied what was published on some social media sites regarding issuing flight tickets within Egypt in foreign currency and not in Egyptian pounds.
The flag-carrier confirmed that it is committed to implementing all instructions issued by the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority, including the issuance of flight tickets from within Egypt to foreign destinations, in the local currency (Egyptian Pound).
EgyptAir also does not issue any tickets from within Egypt for trips that start from outside the country.
A video clip of an Egyptian woman went viral, saying that EgyptAir charges prices in dollars for tickets to travel outside the country, which the company denied.
