Egypt Wins Arab Music Festival Contest

CAIRO, Nov. 9 (SEE)- Egypt won on Thursday the Arab Music Festival contest in its 27th edition in the Cairo Opera House.

In the violin competition, Fares Tamer Mohammed Ali came in 1st place with a prize worth EGP 15,000 and Ahmed Hassan Attieh Sharara won the 2nd place with EGP 12,000.

The third place was shared equally between contestants Islam Khalifa Ismail and Karmina Youssef Aziz with a prize worth EGP 10,000.

In the Ritaiba Hefni competitions for youth singers, contestants Ahmed Magdy Abdelhakim and Ahmed Abdel Hamid Nafie shared the 1st place equally with EGP 15,000 prize.

Ahmed Ragab Abdullah and Mohamed Tarek Mustafa came in 2nd place with a prize worth EGP 12,000. Muhannad Talal won the third place with a prize value of EGP 10,000.

In the singing competition for kids, Wafa Emad Mahmoud and Ashraf Ahmed Saeed shared the 1st place receiving EGP 7,000 each. Khalid Ahmed Sadiq and Azhar Ragab Mustafa came in 2nd, Yasmin Osama Hassan and Maryam Sayed Najjar came in the 3rd position.

The jury award for special abilities went to the child Ahmed Waleed Mohammed, with a prize worth EGP 5,000.

The Opera House offered a total of EGP 100,000 in the three competitions.
