Egypt welcomes the deal reached between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, considering it a highly significant development that will restore security and stability at both the regional and international levels.
Egypt hopes that this deal will constitute a major turning point towards strengthening mutual trust, establishing new foundations for cooperation, creating a supportive environment for peace, and advancing diplomatic efforts aimed at addressing other regional issues, which will positively impact the security and stability of the Middle East region.
In recent months, Egypt, under the directives of the President, has continued its serious and sincere efforts, in coordination and cooperation with regional and international partners, to reach this point, end the war, and open a new chapter that enhances the security and stability of the region.
Egypt reiterates its firm stance in support of peaceful solutions and the settlement of disputes through diplomatic means.
It affirms that resolving differences through dialogue and negotiation is a fundamental approach to achieving peace and consolidating stability, in accordance with the principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations. This approach contributes to reducing tensions, resolving conflicts, and creating a more conducive environment for cooperation, development, security, stability, and prosperity for the peoples of the region.
Egypt again expresses its hope that ending the war will refocus international attention on the tragic humanitarian and security situation of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and expedite the implementation of the second phase of US President Donald Trump’s peace plan.
