he General Authority for Meteorology has warned that high humidity levels will make temperatures feel 1 to 3 degrees Celsius higher than the actual air temperature measured in the shade.

According to the Authority, Sunday, July 5, 2026, will bring warm and humid conditions during the early morning, becoming very hot and humid across most parts of the country during the day. The northern coast will experience hot and humid weather, while warm and humid conditions are expected nationwide during the night.

Expected Maximum Temperatures (Shade / Feels Like)

Greater Cairo: 36°C / 38°C

Lower Egypt: 35°C / 37°C

Northwestern Coast: 30°C / 33°C

Northeastern Coast: 32°C / 35°C

Northern Upper Egypt: 39°C / 41°C

Southern Upper Egypt: 43°C / 44°C

Weather Conditions

The Authority forecasts a 20% chance of light rain showers in the morning due to high humidity over scattered areas of the Northeastern Coast, southern Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, and the Suez Canal cities.

There is also a 30% chance of light rain, which may become moderate at times, over parts of the Northwestern Coast and the northern governorates of Lower Egypt.

Winds with speeds ranging from 30 to 45 km/h are expected to be active at intervals across most regions.

The Authority also warned that strong winds could raise sand and dust over parts of the Western Desert. On the beaches of Marsa Matrouh, El Alamein, Alexandria, Baltim, and Port Said, wave heights are expected to range between 1.5 and 2.25 meters.
