CAPMS: Egypt's Imports from USA Hit $ 6 Billion in First 10 Months of 2022

Data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMS) showed that Egypt's imports from the United States of America (USA) witnessed a remarkable increase during the first 10 months of last Dyear 2022.

The value of Egypt's imports from the USA recorded about $6 billion, compared to $5.1 billion during the same period in 2022. 2021, with an increase of 19.3%.

The agency’s data indicates that the most important commodity groups that Egypt imported from the United States of America during the first 10 months of 2022 were distributed among fuel, pharmaceutical products, and oilseeds.

The value of US investments in Egypt increased during the fiscal year 2020/2021, reaching $9.2 billion, compared to $7.7 billion during the fiscal year 2019/2020, an increase of 19.8%.

The value of remittances of Egyptians working in the United States of America recorded $1.4 billion during the fiscal year 2020/2021, compared to $975.2 million during the fiscal year 2019/2020, an increase of 40.9%.
