Egypt-US Trade Exchange Reaches $7.3bn in 9 Months

On Wednesday, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) reported that trade between Egypt and the U.S. increased by 13.4 percent to $7.3 billion over the first nine months of the year from $6.5 billion during the same time last year.

The report also revealed that, for the first nine months of the year, Egypt's overall exports to the United States totaled $1.8 billion, down from $1.9 billion for the same time in 2021.

In contrast, Egyptian imports from the United States increased by 19.5% to $5.5 billion during the first nine months of 2022 from $4.6 billion during the same time in 2021.
