Egypt, US Naval Forces Conduct Military Drills at Red Sea

Egypt and US naval military vessels conducted joint military drills at the zone of the Egyptian southern fleet in the Red Sea, Armed Forces spokesman announced on Tuesday.

Egyptian Taba frigate and the American USS Monterey guided-missile cruiser participated in the drills that were held inside the Berenice military base.

The military drills included various professional and advanced military technicalities especially in the field of enhancing maritime security which preserves international trade channels and stops any threats.

Moreover, the drills were proceeded by a joint conference at Berenice Military Base. The latest drills are considered part of the Armed Forces plans of conducting cooperative military exercises with friendly countries.
