Egypt’s General Authority for Healthcare Accreditation and Regulation has launched a pioneering smart application, the first of its kind in the region and internationally, reported by TV BRICS.
The innovative platform is designed to standardise and streamline the planning of medical equipment across all hospital types, in line with the National Medical Equipment Guideline. It enables healthcare professionals and decision-makers to input hospital data and generate tailored lists of required equipment.
Experts highlight that the app benefits both existing hospitals and new healthcare projects, ensuring resources are allocated effectively, safely, and in line with specific institutional needs.
By processing detailed information such as departmental layouts, room counts, and bed numbers, the system produces customised and approved equipment lists. This approach is expected to cut costs and prevent unnecessary purchases.
The new smart application is anticipated to play a crucial role in building a data-driven, quality-focused healthcare system in Egypt, enhancing investor confidence and strengthening the country’s position as a regional centre for medical excellence.
