CAIRO Sept18 (SEE): Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities discovered 800 newly tombs in Southern Egypt in near the village of Lisht, south of Al Ayya, dating back to the time of the Great Pyramids, Daily Express reported
The discovery was made in collaboration with the University of Alabama Birmingham, using technique of 3D mapping.
The Ministry of Antiquities posted the recent images on Facebook, writing: “The Egyptian-American mission of the University of Alabama completed its work for this season.
Archaeologist Sarah Parcak told National Geographic, “What we have at the site is one of the largest corpuses of Middle Kingdom tombs in the entire country of Egypt.”
