Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates, held a phone call today, Saturday, with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, within the framework of ongoing consultation and coordination between the two brotherly nations regarding bilateral relations and regional developments.
The two ministers praised the continuous development and momentum in Egyptian-Emirati relations across various fields, guided by the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.
They highlighted the unique nature of this strategic partnership and their mutual commitment to further enhancing bilateral cooperation to serve the interests of both countries and their peoples.
The discussion also covered the latest regional developments, most notably the situation surrounding the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the United States and Iran.
Abdelatty emphasized the importance of building on this path to help reduce tensions and promote regional security and stability, while stressing the necessity of addressing the security concerns of the Arabian Gulf states, affirming that their security and stability are an integral part of Arab national security.
