Data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) revealed that the value of Egyptian exports to the United Arab Emirates ( UAE) increased to $955.2 million during the first half of 2022, compared to $752.6 million during the same period in 2021, an increase of 26.9%.
However, the value of Egyptian imports from the UAE decreased, recording $1.3 billion during the first half of 2022 compared to $1.4 billion during the same period in 2021, a decrease of 2.8%.
CAPMAS indicated that the value of trade exchange between Egypt and the UAE increased to $2.3 billion during the first half of 2022, compared to $2.1 billion during the same period in 2021, an increase of 7.7%.
The value of Emirati investments in Egypt recorded $1.9 billion during the first half of the fiscal year 2021/22, compared to $712.6 million during the same period in 2020/2021, an increase of 169.1%.
