Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held a phone call on Tuesday with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to discuss ongoing regional efforts aimed at reducing tensions and advancing diplomatic solutions to current crises.
According to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, the two ministers praised the continued progress in relations between Egypt and Türkiye, reaffirming their shared commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation across various sectors in support of the mutual interests of both countries and the aspirations of their peoples for development and prosperity.
The discussions also focused on the latest regional developments and efforts to contain escalation, particularly in light of the ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran.
Both sides emphasized the importance of supporting the negotiation process and underscored that diplomacy and dialogue remain the only viable path toward de-escalation and conflict resolution.
The ministers further expressed hope that all parties involved would adopt responsible positions and prioritize diplomatic solutions in addressing regional disputes.
