Deputy Foreign Minister Hamdi Sanad Loza will visit Ankara on September 7th to hold the second round of exploratory talks between Egypt and Turkey.
The two-day visit is expected to address bilateral relations between the two sides, as well as a number of regional files.
The visit comes upon an invitation submitted by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Last May, Egypt and Turkey said they had held "frank" discussions during the first official diplomatic talks between the regional rivals for eight years, a joint statement said according to France 24.
"The discussions were frank and in-depth," the statement released by Cairo and Ankara said.
"They addressed bilateral issues as well as a number of regional issues, in particular the situation in Libya, Syria, Iraq, and the need to achieve peace and security in the Eastern Mediterranean region," it added.
Earlier this year, Turkey said it had resumed diplomatic contact with Egypt and wanted to improve cooperation after years of tensions that began with the disruption of relations in 2013.
