Egypt to See Lower Temperatures, Cold Weather on Tuesday

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicted that cold weather to prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt, Northwestern Coasts, and Northeast Coasts, during daylight hours on Tuesday.

It is also foreseen that warm weather to prevail in South Sinai, and frosty in the agricultural areas.

The experts added that the country will experience a sharp decline in temperatures, with the lowest will be in Saint Catherine, which will be 2 degrees below zero.

Furthermore, Mahmoud Shaheen, Director of the Weather Forecast Department at EMA, said that there will be a chance of light to moderate rain in Cairo, Giza, Qalyubia, Ismailia, Suez, Gharbia, Menoufia, and Sharqia.

Heavy rains, sometimes thunderstorms accompanied by cold air, are predicted to prevail intermittently in El Salloum, Marsa Matrouh, Alexandria, Rashid, Baltim, Damietta, Port Said, Kafr El Sheikh, Beheira, and Dakahlia.

There is also a chance of moderate rain, sometimes thunderstorms accompanied by ice balls, are predicted to prevail intermittently in Rafah, Ras Sidr, Al-Arish, North of Saint Catherine, and Central Sinai.

Light rains will hit in Fayoum and Beni Suef.

Dust winds will prevail in most of the country, reaching the extent of the storm in North Upper Egypt.

It is also predicted that extremely cold weather will prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt, and Northern Coasts, as well as the North and South of Upper Egypt, at night.

Meanwhile, the atmosphere will be cold in South Sinai.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 14C in Cairo, 13C in Alexandria, 12C in Marsa Matruh, 20C in Sohag, 21C in Qena, and 24C in Aswan.
