Yasser Abdel Hady, the Chief of the Solar Research Laboratory at the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) said that Autumn will start tomorrow at 9:49 am.

Abdel Hady added that the season will last for 89 days.

In the same context, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) said that Egypt would face a slight increase in temperatures during the first week of Autumn.

EMA added that more clouds will start to shine in Cairo, and Lower Egypt regions.

In addition, the levels of humidity will start to fall, especially during the nighttime.

During an equinox, the Sun crosses the “celestial equator." The Sun’s center passes through the equator.

In the Northern Hemisphere, when the Sun crosses the equator from north to south, this is called the autumnal equinox, but for the Southern Hemisphere is the reverse.

After the autumnal equinox, days become shorter than nights as the Sun continues to rise later and night falls earlier, this slowly leads to the winter solstice.
