Egypt is preparing to hold the longest Ramadan "Iftar" table, the meal eaten by Muslims after sunset throughout the holy month, during the last fifteen days of the month.
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Muslim year, during which strict fasting is observed from dawn to sunset.

The Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD) announced that it would organize the biggest Ramadan "Iftar" table in the world.
"The lengthened table will be held later this month," ACUD said on its Facebook official page.
"The mercy table, which spread around Cairo throughout the holy month,offering the poor with an open invitation to Iftar, will be organized in the presence of the new capital's partners as well as a delegation of the Guinness World Records,” the company added.
