On Wednesday, Egyptian Minister of Civil Aviation in Egypt, Mohamed Manar, reviewed a report on the progress realized so far in upgrading Sphinx International Airport in Giza. located west of Cairo, in Giza Governorate.
The minister, during a cabinet meeting at the government headquarters in the new administrative capital, explained that 90% of the project's development process have been completed and is scheduled to operate in mid-July.
He added that Sphinx airport is one of the most important airports that serves the governorates of Giza, Fayyoum, Monofiya, Beni Suef and Menya, noting that this helps to alleviate pressure on Cairo International Airport.
He added that Sphinx airport after development will operate both local and international flights, activate the one-day tourism and promote exports movement.
