Mustafa Madbouly confirmed on Tuesday that major development process will take place in North Sinai with investments exceeding EGP 400 billion to achieve a comprehensive and integrated development of this region.
Madbouly said, during a press conference in front of the port of Rafah, that he was keen to be present with ministers to announce the launch of the North Sinai development plan.
He stressed that the state succeeded in eliminating terrorism, and at the same time it was carrying out the development process in the North Sinai region.
He pointed out that this region has suffered from terrorism over the past ten years, where the sons of the armed forces, the police and the people suffered from this abhorrent terrorism.
