Egyptian reports expected on Monday that Egypt's Fuel Automatic Pricing Committee (FAPC) would keep fuel prices nationwide unchanged till the end of October, leaving the price of 95-octane fuel at EGP 8.75 per litre, 92-octane fuel at EGP 7.75 per litre, and 80-octane fuel at EGP 6.50 per litre.
The Committee holds its meeting every three months to review fuel prices based on international prices for Brent crude and the foreign exchange rate.
The FAPC had decided on its last meeting in April to increase the price of gasoline in the local market by 25 piasters per litre
The committee however had kept the prices of industrial-use Mazut at EGP 3,900 per ton and diesel fuel at EGP 6.75 per litre.
The committee had stated that its decisions came in light of the exceptional situation that the world is in due to the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic.
